Cathy Phillips
Clinical Naturopath (BHSc)
Hi, I’m Cathy — a degree-qualified Clinical Naturopath consulting both in person and online from Aldinga Beach, South Australia, specialising in women’s health conditions and hormones and integrative oncology.
I live with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and, having recently turned 50, I’m navigating perimenopause myself. This lived experience gives me a deep understanding of the fatigue, disrupted sleep, anxiety, mood changes, and brain fog that can arise during this stage of life. It also shapes the way I practise, with empathy, practicality, and genuine respect for where each woman is at. I’m passionate about helping women feel truly heard and supported as they restore energy, rebuild confidence, and feel well in the second half of life through evidence-informed, holistic care.
Supporting people affected by cancer is also deeply personal to me. Both my own family and my husband’s family have been profoundly touched by cancer, giving me a genuine understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that can accompany diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
This has led to my commitment to providing integrative naturopathic support for people at different stages of the cancer journey, including those currently undergoing treatment, those in recovery, and those wanting to take a proactive, informed approach to supporting their long-term health and cellular wellbeing. My role is to offer gentle, evidence-based care that supports wellbeing and resilience alongside medical treatment, while helping patients and their carers feel supported during what can be an uncertain time.
Central to my approach is looking beyond symptoms alone to gently explore the underlying influences that shape health and the body’s capacity to repair and recover. By understanding what may be placing strain on the body, and what support may be missing, care can be more personalised, meaningful, and empowering.
Wherever possible, I work collaboratively with each person’s medical practitoner and/or oncology team to ensure care is safe, integrative, and well-coordinated. My approach blends traditional naturopathic principles with current research, resulting in treatment plans that are realistic, supportive, and designed to fit into everyday life without overwhelm. These may include nutrition and lifestyle guidance, reducing environmental stressors, rest and movement, emotional support, and targeted herbal or nutritional support when appropriate.
You don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to walk alongside you, offering support, education that empowers you, and care that meets you exactly where you are.
I’m proud to be a member of the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA).
